La modificaci\u00f3n desarrollada conjuntamente por Lufthansa Technik y BASF, permite que ambos tipos de Boeing 777 logren ahorros de combustible y emisiones del orden del uno por ciento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AeroSHARK es una pel\u00edcula de superficie que imita la estructura microsc\u00f3pica de la piel de tibur\u00f3n. Consiste en costillas de alrededor de 50 micr\u00f3metros de tama\u00f1o, las llamadas costillas. Si el flujo de aire en el fuselaje y las g\u00f3ndolas del motor del Boeing 777F se optimiza de esta manera, se pueden lograr importantes ahorros de combustible. Para los aviones de Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Technik estima un ahorro de combustible de alrededor del uno por ciento. Extrapolado a toda la flota 777 de Lufthansa Cargo, esto dar\u00e1 como resultado un ahorro anual de m\u00e1s de 4.000 toneladas m\u00e9tricas de queroseno y casi 13.000 toneladas m\u00e9tricas de emisiones de CO 2, equivalentes a aproximadamente 53 vuelos de carga de ida\/directos desde Frankfurt a Shangh\u00e1i.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alrededor de las 5:00 am, el primer B777F modificado, matricula D-ALFA y con el n\u00famero de vuelo LH8410, despeg\u00f3 en su primer vuelo de Frankfurt a Bengaluru en India, desde donde vol\u00f3 posteriormente a Chengdu en China. La modificaci\u00f3n de AeroSHARK se llev\u00f3 a cabo a mediados de enero como parte de una escala de mantenimiento programada para el carguero y se complet\u00f3 mucho antes de su fecha l\u00edmite.
